Twilight Criterium won by Armstrong

Twilight Criterium won by Armstrong 20 July, 2008 - Last night, Kristin Armstrong from the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team was riding in her last race before next month's Olympics in Beijing, the Twilight Criterium in Boise (USA).

The former time trial World Champion showed no mercy on the field and easily won the 50-minute race for the second time in three years. She beat runner-up Nichole Wangsgard by 1 minute and 11 seconds.

"I was riding to train, and I wanted to stay safe so I stayed out in front," said the 34-year-old Armstrong. "This was awesome. The crowd was really big, it was a safe course. Everything went really well."
