Kristin Armstrong in the yellow jersey


Kristin Armstrong in Gelb 10 July 2008 - While most of the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team riders are today at the start of the "Krasna Lipa" in Czech Republic, Kristin Armstrong is taking part in the Casade Classic from the 9th to 13th of July in the USA. The competition series started yesterday in the east of Oregon with a road race over 83,2 miles (approx. 133 km). The 34-year-old Armstrong showed her good shape and won the race three seconds ahead of  Julie Beverigde and 17 seconds ahead of Christine Thorburn. For Armstrong is now the goal to defend her yellow jersey in the next 5 stages despite not having team-mates with her.
