19 June, 2008 – Today, a 110,3 km stage race from Montdidier to Drancy was on the schedule of the Grande Boucle Féminine Internationale. Once more, the competition finished with a mass sprint which was won by Diane Ziliute from Lithuania. It is her third stage victory in this year’s Grande Boucle Feminine Internationale. The second place took Loes Markerink (NED) while Jolanta Polikeviciute (LTU) finished third.
Christiane Soeder (AUT) from the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team was fighting in the only mountain ranking point on the course for the mountain points and crossed the point as third. Soeder, Sarah Düster (GER), Karin Thürig (SUI) and Priska Doppmann (SUI) reached together with the main group the finish, while Pascale Schnider and Carla Ryan crashed due to the rainy weather conditions.
The overall team ranking after the fourth stage is led by the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team with 35 seconds ahead of Flexpoint. Tomorrow the competition will continue with the time trial over 40,1 km in the French Jura. The Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team is looking forward to it!
