4 Mai, 2008 – At the home Worldcup- the „Berner Rundfahrt“ – the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team were very active on the tough and challenging course around Lyss (SUI). Several attacks were made by the cyclist from the team, especially to mention are the attacks from the Swiss Karin Thürig who were almost 40 km in total in the lead on the 135,8 km long race. But at the end the victory went in a race time of 3:31:09h to the Swede Susanne Ljungskog from Team Menkini-Selle Italia. On second place finished in the sprint of the group the German Judith Arndt Arndt (Team High Road) and third place took Mirjam Melchers-van Poppel (NED, Team Flexpoint). Priska Doppmann, who was in the first group finished at the end of 13th place and secured with that several World Cup points for her. The new leader of the UCI World Cup ranking is the today’s second Judith Arndt (GER). The next World Cup race will take place at the 31st of May in Montréal (CAN). But you can see the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team already tomorrow at the official team presentation in Unteraegeri (SUI).
