23 April, 2008 – Today, the fifth women’s World Cup race, „La Flèche Wallonne” took place in the province Lüttich in Belgium. In the 11th edition of the “Flèche Wallonne” for ladies, two riders of the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team were able to win World Cup points, Christiane Soeder (AUT) with her 14th place and Priska Doppmann (SUI) with her 20th place.

 
The victory in the race over 103,5 km took the winner from the last year Marianne Vos (NED). She finished one second ahead of Marta Bastianelli (ITA) and two seconds ahead of Judith Arndt (GER). The ladies were racing on exact the same round like the men’s did a little bit later as their final round. The course includes as well the final climb on the famous “Mur de Huy”.
 
In the lead of the overall World Cup ranking is now with 152 points the today’s winner Marianne Vos. Kristin Armstrong is in this ranking on ninth position.
 
The race programme of the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team continues on Sunday, 27th with the Bundesliga race in Karbach (GER), followed by the two “home races”, the GP Suisse on 2nd of May and the 6th UCI World Cup race, the “Berner Rundfahrt” on 4th of May.
